An employee was on an extension ladder working on cable lines. While descending the ladder to retrieve the replacement section of coaxial cable, the existing/defective cable broke, causing the extension ladder to move and the employee fell approximately 16 feet from the ladder to the ground below. The employee was hospitalized for blunt force trauma to his ribs and the back of his head.
