Final narrative
A 19-inch aluminum billet was being loaded onto a homogenizing oven pad with a forklift. Two employees were trying to reposition it using a pry bar when it rolled off the stack, causing a stacking rail or pad backstop to strike one of the employees in the back. The employee suffered four broken vertebrae in the lower back, as well as liver, spleen, and kidney lacerations.
