On March 29, 2022, an employee was working on a decking-type structure, cycling concrete back into the drum of a concrete truck while resting the pump hose on his shoulder. The pump hose clogged. As the clog pushed through the hose, the force caused the hose to fly out of control and strike the employee across the left side of the face. He suffered lacerations to the lower/upper jaw area, a fracture in his gum line, and broken and avulsed teeth. He was hospitalized, requiring wire braces and stitches to the lip and cheek.
