An employee removed a rear valve from a new asphalt trailer. The employee determined that the trailer had a pinhole leak and went to diagnose and repair the issue. When the employee ignited a propane torch to help repair the issue, the vapors given off by the product ignited and an explosion occurred. The employee sustained first and second degree burns on the left side of the face, neck, and head.
