An employee was preparing to weld sections of a barge. While using a hydraulic tool to close the gap between sections of the barge, the employee struck the steel with a hammer. The hydraulic tool was under pressure and slipped, striking the employee in the chin, mouth, and teeth. The employee suffered a broken jaw and teeth.
