An employee was banding a metal coil while standing near/under a 4,000-pound hydraulic table. The hydraulic cylinder attached to the table broke, causing the table to strike the employee. He sustained fractures to the face, ribs, and leg, as well as a bruised lung and crushed pelvis. The employee also sustained a possible back fracture.
