On December 6, 2023, at approximately 9:40 a.m., an employee was a passenger in a transit van (moving from one assignment at the airport to the next) when the van struck a concrete barrier near a gate. The employee was hospitalized with fractures to their cervical and thoracic vertebrae, ribs, and left tibia and fibula. The employee required surgery.
