Final narrative
On January 3, 2024, an employee was assigned to the plumbing department and was working in a drop ceiling in the inmate housing unit. The employee lost his footing and fell off 12-15 feet off an I-beam through the drop ceiling to the concrete floor. The employee suffered fractures to two ribs and their wrist as well as a concussion.

An employee was operating a battery-powered broom to clean demolition debris off the top of the outermost bridge girder. The girder was approximately 11 feet above the demolition scaffold below. The employee fell approximately 8 feet to wind bracing below. The employee was hospitalized with a pelvis/tailbone fracture. Fall protection was in place at the time.

The employee's wrench slipped off the equipment, causing them to lose their balance and fall.
