Two employees were moving stainless steel trim (.050" thick, 5" wide, and 10' long) from the work table to a pallet on the floor. The trim slipped out of the first employee's hands, causing the trim to be pulled out of the injured employee's hands and it lacerated their left index finger from the tip to the third joint on the palm side, resulting in a fingertip amputation.
