A stunt performer was riding a horse when the prop scabbard on his belt contacted the horse's flank area, causing the horse to hop twice. While the horse was hopping, the employee slipped forward in the saddle and his pelvis contacted the saddle near the horn. The employee was hospitalized with internal bleeding and a separated pelvis and required surgery.
