A temporary employee picked up flat boxing material to carry to a packaging area. He stepped on a wedge of wood in the aisle that had broken off a pallet and rolled/twisted his right ankle. The wedge measured approximately 1 inch by 6 inches. The employee suffered a fractured ankle.
