Final narrative
The injured employee was pulling nylon string into an underground pipe to get a measurement for ordering wire. The pull for the string was 400 feet, so he used a power drill to spool the wire. The nylon string got bunched up around the nose of the drill. As he pushed the string out of the way, the drill activated and his thumb got caught in the string. The thumb was lacerated and fractured and required surgery.
