Struck by running powered equipment n.e.c. · Amputations, avulsions, enucleations unspecified
Final narrative
An employee was building a 12' x 12' temporary wood door to serve as winter protection and site security. The door was being set in place for final fastening to a structural steel frame. The rough opening had structural bolts near the top that wouldn t allow the frame to sit flush, so the door frame was tipped back down and placed on dunnage. The employee used a circular saw to kerf the door frame so it could slide past the bolts. While re-positioning his right hand, his glove was pulled into the saw blade and his right little fingertip was amputated above the nailbed.
