An employee was transporting panels to a waste container using a powered industrial truck (PIT). The panels were stacked on the lifted forks of the truck. The employee stood on the panels to adjust them when they started to bow and the employee fell 6 feet to the ground, contacting the panel edges during the fall. The employee suffered lacerations to their left hand and both kneecaps, a collapsed right lung, and fractures to ribs 4 through 9 on the right side. The employee was hospitalized.
