An employee climbed from a ladder to a rail in order to apply painter's tape. The employee walked 20 feet to the end of the rail when they fell 42 inches to the landing below, landing on a mop bucket and sustaining six fractured ribs, a pneumothorax in the left lung, and a trace hemothorax.
