An employee was adjusting guides to feed the edge of a coil that was causing an alignment issue through the punch of a roll former machine. The employee grabbed the coil edge and pulled up to align it when the jog button on the control pendant was actuated. The coil edge moved forward, pinching the employee's right fingers against the body of the shear, resulting in amputations of the middle and index fingertips.
