Housekeeping removal of damaged tools from floor

Employee was performing housekeeping activities and discovered a damaged squeege device that required disposal. In an attempt to ensure device would fit in trash can employee bent handle across knee. EE proceeded to break device further and un beknown created a sharp rough edge. Employee continued to bend and hand slipped. EE was not wearing cut resistant gloves during the hand slip proceeded to lacerate multiple fingers.
