Assisting surgeon in surgery. Had just retrieved the surgical specimen (lipoma) and glove was slightly greasy.

Surgeon requested blade following handing specimen off and [REDACTED] grabbed the handle and the blade slipped from her hand. She instinctively reached for the blade handle. The handle landed momentarily blade up between the table and the ring stand and as she instinctively when to reach for it her hand ran into the blade. When her hand it it it pierced her glove and broke the skin. Blade handle then dropped to the ground.
