Before the incident
Employee and another worker were using a Jack [REDACTED] to chip away old concrete. Employee was holding jack hammer when it slipped away while the other worker was nearby picking up concrete chunks. Employee reached out quickly to grab the loose jack hammer and over extended hamstring in their leg. (Job #4600)
What happened
Once the jack hammer slipped out of the employee 's hands the employee reached out quickly to grab it and prevent it from hitting the other worker. This fast sudden movement cause the employee to experience a pop in their hamstring. They could not walk properly or pain free after this.
