Employee tripped in gap in scaffolding and fell into a scaffolding pin resulting in a puncture wound to his left forearm.
What happened
[REDACTED] was erecting scaffolding. The scaffolding had a roughly 6 inch gap between the elevator door and the scaffolding. [REDACTED] stepped in the gap causing him to fall. As he was falling he stuck his arms out to grab the scaffold post to brace his fall. While grabbing the post his left forearm was punctured by a scaffold pin. A coworker drove [REDACTED] to the [REDACTED] New [REDACTED] hospital emergency room. He received 8 stitches.
