Employee was swinging a heavy hammer with his right hand with leather gloves on and his right pinky finger got caught between the hammer handle and the truck frame rail. He was installing rear suspension torque arms. He said he had no idea he had broken his finger it just hurt when his finger hit the frame rail. He completed the job and worked to the end of his shift. Afer he got home took a shower and ate dinner he had increased pain and swelling. Not able to sleep he went to the ER.
