What happened
EE and 2 other employees were removing a finished shaft from the mill and slide it back in the protective cardboard tube The cardboard tube broke while sliding the shaft back in and the weight of the shaft shifted causing one end to drop and the other end to raise up pinching the EEs left thumb between the shaft and the quill portion of the mill EE wrapped their thumb in a cloth and went to the nurses station first aid was administered The rear of the nail came out causing a small laceration once the bleeding was stopped the thumb was wrapped up and iced another EE drove them to a 24 hour ER
