EE was working to cut aluminum rebar at the time of injury EE was utilizing a DeWalt chop saw to cut pieces of aluminum rebar As EE was making a cut something happened with the material causing it to kick breaking the side guarding off in process and impacting their left index finger Their left index finger suffered a laceration and immediately bruised EE was able to complete documentation and was sent to occmed facility where they received an xray that confirmed a simple open fracture in left index finger
