Employee was assisting surgeon during a surgical procedure

EE assisting the surgeon took the used scalpel from the surgeon and it caught her gown. It punctured through the gown and went into her skin. The cut was shallow but it caused more than 3 drops of blood. Immediately she left the procedure and degowned. She used hand sanitizer and soap and water on the wound. A bandaid was then applied and the exposure help line was called.
