Waiting to turn over the room after patient left was up with anesthesia waiting for a PACU bed.
What happened
Patient was about to leave for PACU from OR 3 there was a needle that monitors nerves during spinal cases wrapped around the patients toe. The needle was not in the patient at this time. I took it off of the patient and put up the side rail of the stretcher and got stuck with the needle.
