Before the incident
EE was cutting tie wire for part 106580 preparing for etch process. EE pulled approximately five feet of wire off the spool with the right hand and cut with a pair of wire snipers with the left. When the wire was cut there was a reactive spring action which cause the wire to contact the employees right eye. EE was transported to [REDACTED] and later transferred to facility in [REDACTED] to be referred to a specialist. EE was admitted over night and as of [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] remains hospitalized.
