What happened
On [REDACTED] I was working on a BMC. I was at the bottom of the BMC which prompted me to lift the back door for the BMC to get the rest of the mail out. Once I was done with the rest of the mail I had to close the back door. As I was closing the back door I had to take the metal piece that holds the door open to close it and as I was removing it the door was coming and slammed my finger. I pulled my finger out and the skin came off and it immediately started to swell. I reported to transportation supervisor.
