What happened
On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] assistant rural carrier phoned supervisor of the AUBURN POST OFFICE to report and incident that occurred during a dismounted delivery attempt at [REDACTED]. The carried stated that when he was exiting the postal vehicle that he stepped into a hole that was camouflaged by grass resulting in him falling on the sidewalk where he twisted his ankle and landed on packages injuring his rib area. After recovering from his fall he continued to deliver his route in obvious pain due to his fall. The carrier returned to the station and went to the urgent care facility to receive treatment for the sustained injury.
