Cutting a seal from a truck

On [REDACTED]) between [REDACTED] I suffered from an incident resulting me requiring three stitches in my left middle finger. I went to remove the truck seal off the truck door after cutting it with my cutters as I normally do. But in this situation the seal was stuck inside the door handle in a way where it wouldn 't come out easily. I went to pull it out with a bit of force with my right hand on the ball of the seal and my left hand on the door handle holding it in position to allow the seal to be removed. As I pulled on the ball of the seal the end where I’d curved and dug into my left middle finger tearing my glove and causing it to bleed. Initially I assumed the cut to be minor but after attempts to clean and dress the cut I could not control the bleeding. I then phoned [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] to let him know that I was injured and needed to leave. He told me ok but that he would need to find someone to come in my place.
