What happened

[REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] as [REDACTED] was delivering to [REDACTED] a chained dog came from the other side of the porch and bit her on her right side as she was trying to run away. [REDACTED] fell to the ground and lost her glasses and the dog latched onto her left foot. [REDACTED] began hitting the dog on the head until he released her. [REDACTED] sustained two lacerations to her left foot a bit mark with one laceration to the left side abdomen and a scratch on her inner left thigh. Before ascending the steps of the residence [REDACTED] saw a dog warning sign and looked around but did not see the dog. The dog was chained but the chain was long enough to give it the run of the front yard. Animal control notified.
