Management was not verbally made aware of any accident and or injury. Carrier states I was delivering to a large apartment building and was handling some large packages and mail. While I was in the building I lifted one of the large packages to take it to a residents door because there is no secure location to deliver on the first floor. When I lifted the package there was a quick sharp pain in my back but nothing that initially stopped me from what i was doing and seeing that my shift was almost over. Later when I got home after sitting down for an hour I was unable to stand.
