LIFTING HEAVY TRAY

Employee said while on duty on [REDACTED]. I was working on the shredder. While lifting a heavy tray of letters up out of an APC I felt a huge pop in my lower back and a lot of pain. I didn’t think anything of it and continued working. The reason for the delay in reporting this injury is because I honestly thought it was just normal aches and pains. However as the weekend approached the pain was getting worse with pain going down both legs. By [REDACTED] I decided it was best to involve my doctor. My doctor ordered x-rays MRI’s and CTscan. She put me on a 10 pound weight restriction. She also referred me to a specialist surgeon. While working on the shredder I also have to clean out the bottom in order to keep it running properly. This requires getting down on my knees to get all of the shredder paper out. This is very difficult if the shredder is super packed. This is very hard on the back and is very painful. I fell a pop in my lower back when I walk now. I have no histor
