What happened
Group lead started to feel pain on her foot in [REDACTED] and notified Supervisor that safety toes shoes were aggravating her foot. At the time she wore her safety shoes 10-20%. She was then provided with a new pair of safety shoes and associate indicated they were better and worked fine. In [REDACTED] her work tasks changed which resulted in her wearing safety shoes up to 50% of her time. In [REDACTED] she notified her supervisor that her foot was hurting and the safety shoes made it worse. She suffered from a personal health condition and attributed the pain to that. Employee followed up with her personal doctor in [REDACTED] and [REDACTED]. In [REDACTED] employee was prescribed a rigid boot. Supervisor recommended employee seek additional medical care to understand work-relatedness of the issue. Employee sought medical care through established occupational health clinic.
