Before the incident
Finishing concrete for a paving pour. Specifically using a bull float with a 24ft long handle.
What happened
While floating concrete and pulling back the float handle went vertical and came in contact with a temporary power line that was hot and not insulated. Power line was only 12ft high
Injury or illness
Employee was shocked left unconscious. Employee awoke and had superficial burns on hands and feet. Employee was treated by EMS and taken by ambulance to hospital for evaluation. Employee was only under observation during hospital stay.
