What happened
Employee was closing surgery incision and leaned too close to the patient and felt pressure on stomach lower chest. No distinct sharpness was felt but it appeared that the suture needle had been pinched between patient and employee. No noticeable marks were present on gown. Following completing of incision with suture need employee checked where pressure was felt and no blood was present. Upon closer inspection a small red spot was noticed in area.
