Before the incident
EE was attempting to nail a spacing block between two studs. While holding the block the employee fired a single nail through his left thumb which was directly in front of the nail gun.
What happened
While holding the block the employee fired a single nail through his left thumb which was directly in front of the nail gun. Further inspection of the gun revealed there to be no operational trigger spring which was a contributing factor to the injury.
