Before the incident
EE was using a metal spatula which was normally used to separate 3D printed material. He was unaware the metal edge was sharpened prior to his use.
What happened
While removing the printed material from the parent material the spatula slipped and lacerated his left middle finger. No PPE was used and EE was unaware of the altered sharp edge.
