What happened
I was assisting an elderly confused patient to the edge of bed she was unable to follow direction and began trying to lie down about halfway through the transfer. I continued the transfer with heavy assistance to prevent the patient from lying back and r isk hitting her head on the bed rail. This caused sharp low back pain that has continued to worsen since the incident.
