What happened
Employee was responding to the resident 's room to answer the call light. However the other resident was in the doorway agitated and fusing with several other nursing staff. Employee attempted to enter by passing the resident when suddenly the resident turned his aggression toward the employee intentionally ramming his wheelchair into her left leg. Additionally the resident began to hit the employee in the same place on her left leg and side. the nurse assisted by pushing and removing the resident off of the employee.
