Operator was leak testing 7979 parts at the Machine Cell [REDACTED] station.
What happened
Operator removed her hand from safety device and attempted to retrieve the part while machine was in motion. Her hand and fingers were pinned to the part by the machine. She was trained on the machine and had not had any issues previously. She initially declined any treatment and said she was fine and RTW immediately. Later she aske d to go to hospital urgent care. She was treated for fractured finger and was administered post accident drug screen. She failed the drug screen.
