Preparing to drive

Stopped in [REDACTED] at the [REDACTED] s truck stop. Leaving the truck stop and a gentlemen walked out in front of the tractor driver waved the gentlemen through when he stopped and started yelling profanity at our driver. Driver stopped tractor when this gentleman jumped onto our driver s tractor steps and struck our driver in the left side of his face. Once his co driver awoke to the struggle the gentleman jumped off the tractor and ran away. There were witnesses to the struggle as well as other truckers that saw the incident.

Swollen lip and pain in left jaw swollen left hand. Driver has had previous neck surgery and will seek medical attention.
