What happened
Associate injured their left thumb while inspecting a tire. Associate was visually inspecting the foam splice on a 20 foam-in-tire in the tire engineering analysis room on the 4th floor. The associate had a flashlight in their right hand and was rolling the tire on the floor with their left hand. While rolling the tire it started to fall and the associate went to grab it to stop it from falling. The tire then struck their left thumb causing the thumb to be hyperextended.
