What happened
TM was using the Rode 's chain machine (counts chain length) and the chain got wrapped up around the windlass improperly and jammed. With the machine still on and moving TM attempted to un-jam the chain around the windless in a hook and the throw motion with her finger. Giving the machine slack and removing the jam caught her middle finger in the chain and the continued motion of the machine pinched the finger between the chain and windlass causing injury.
