A mine production employee was in the process of filling the front tank on 40 The operators foot was placed on the edge of the platform and the employee lost their footing causing them to fall toward the lower deck of the truck The employee reached toward their right to grab the rail but their left side came into contact with the lower railing The operator heard a popping and cracking and felt pain from their left rib area The other operator was aware of the situation and immediately called for help
