Employee Was working on [REDACTED] which is an automatic machine that produces a small amount of metallic scrap. If aloud to accumulate the scrap can get heavy and must be emptied into a larger scrap bin.

Machine ASY [REDACTED] produces small scrap shavings that go into a small scrap bin at the bottom of the machine. Periodically these scrap shavings need to be emptied into a larger hopper across the isle so a forklift can pick up the hopper and move it to the container. If the bin is emptied often then the weight can be below 10lbs. If it is not emptied often enough then the bin can weigh beyond comfortable levels exceeding 15 to 20 lbs. In these cases employees can use the carts intended for the dies to transport the bin to the hopper. In this case the bin was moved by hand though it cannot be determined on how much the bin weighed when it was transported by hand. The bin was carried by the employee to the hopper and unloaded. During unloading the employee felt and heard a pop in his knee reinjuring ligament.

Sprain Strain (Knee - Right)

Scrap bin suspected to be too full. No witness to verify.
