Before the incident
Scooping molten aluminum metal out of furnace.
What happened
He was using a hand ladle to scoop moltem aluminum metal out of the furnace. He then rested the ladle on the edge of the furnace to get a more secure grip on his pouring ladle and that is when a small amount of molten metal splashed out of his ladle and onto his leg causing a burn. The metal was able to get behind his PPE. He was wearing the proper PPE at the time of the incident.
