Employee was changing rollers at the chemical (bonderite) coaters when he noticed a spot of grease on one of the new rollers that had been installed.

Employee told his coworker to stop rollers spinning so he could clean off the grease but when the rollers stopped the grease spot was between the two rollers and unreachable. He told the coworker to turn the rollers back on then off and attempted to wipe the rollers with a rag before they had stopped spinning when his right hand was pulled between the two rollers.

Lacerations to ring and pinky fingers of right hand requiring stitches. X-ray revealed no fractures.

Coating rollers (one rubber one chrome)

Employee was attempting to clean grease off a spinning roller when his Right hand was pulled in between the rollers causing a crush injury to the ring and pinky fingers of his Right hand.
