The employee was inspecting the cap coming off machine 892 printer that was inside a green bin. Another employee came over to lift the bin away from the machine.

The injured employee removed their hand from the bin when her right thumb got caught in between the conveyor belt and the lower guard. It pinched pulled twisted and then cut her thumb. When she felt the pull from the track she pulled her thumb out causing the laceration and subsequent sprain.
