North Memorial Hospital [REDACTED] reports that she went into room 427 to assist staff with changing soiled linen under pt. The pt was very agitated and combative trying to hit staff. The pt pulled very hard on the patients R hand causing immediate pain. TM reports that the family didn 't want the pt to have any type of sedating medications so the provider was called and he came into the room and gave the family the alternative of either sedation medications or restraints which they chose restraints. But everytime the staff had to change or turn the patient they had to undo the restraints and the pt became combative.
