What happened
NMH PCC RN reports elderly obese pt needed assistance to get onto the cart. Cart was in the lowest position and it was locked. Pt unable to lift leg to use a foot stool to get herself onto cart and asked for assistance to lift her right leg onto the cart. Injured back by assisting pt with her leg. Back started to hurt spasm after lifting leg and assisting pt to sitting position on cart.
